about

I wrote this song to try and find this person, this kid i went to eighth grade with- Andy McCloud. It would be really cool to find him (unless he hates the song lol) but even if I don't, it's relatable. I think we all had our own Andy McCloud in school.

lyrics

Andy McCloud
Are you ok now
I knew you in eighth grade

I was the girl
Who sat next to you
Laughing with a sad face

I guess we were all trying to
Make it through
But the one I remember is you

Andy McCloud
Are you ok now

I wanted to be just like you
Notebook doodles cartoons
Unapologetic dude
I know you had your problems too but
Dang you didn’t give a damn
We weren’t cool you didn’t care
Not so skinny
Blonde hair
I’d be myself but I was scared

Andy how are you today
I know exactly what I’d say
Thank you, for eighth grade
Thank you, that was well played
Cause None of us could be ourselves
Straight like books up on a shelf
I so badly needed help
You showed so much of yourself

Eventually I’d fall down
Sent away from my hometown
I’m doing better Andy McCloud
I wish that I could meet you now
I’ll write this song and send it out
Andy McCloud
